General Information

• A one day event to introduce women to outdoor activities through hands on participation.
• 8:00 AM until 5 PM
• Each participant can take 4 classes.
• Each class is 1 hour and 15 minutes long.
• Minimum age is 18 years old.
• The activities are hands on
  participants may:
  • produce an item.
  • be introduced to a skill.
  • get materials to take home from most class.
• Each class is taught by a highly qualified instructor. Class descriptions and instructor's bio are HERE
• This is a rain or shine event. Please bring appropriate clothing, sunscreen, and bug spray.
• A catered lunch will be provided
• There will be an auction and 50/50 drawing

Cost is $55.00 per person

You will get a full refund if the event is cancelled.

Chicks in the Sticks is a major fundraising event for the Friends of Oil Creek State Park and provides funding for educational programs, trail maintenance, and construction projects in the park. We thank you for your support.

Important Stuff

• Registration fee is $55 per person
• If the event is cancelled, you will get a full refund
• Cancellations before May 15 will be refunded.
• Cancellations after May 15 will not be refunded, but you may substitute another person as long as we receive prior notice. Substitute attendees will have the same schedule as the person who cancelled.
  If you can not find a substitute we will use your registration fee as a donation. If you would like a donation receipt, please contact Peg Sims
• If you pay by credit card, you will be transferred to a Pennsylvania Park and Forests Foundation page to complete payment.
• After payment is complete, you will receive a confirmation email.


• Registration deadline is 10 days before the event.
• Class size is limited. Please register early.


• Want the same classes as a friend? Leave your request in the comment section of the registration form. All participants requesting the same schedule MUST schedule separately but at approximately the same time.
• You will receive your preliminary schedule as soon as it is available. Due to last minute program changes which are beyond our control, the schedule you receive at "Check In" will be your actual schedule.


• Bring a change of clothing for classes that are in/on the water.
• Some classes request that you bring certain items. Please read the Class Descriptions carefully.



• Check-in is required.( 8 to 8:30 )

• Minimum attendee age is 18.
• Event is rain or shine and is entirely outdoors! For your safety and comfort, please bring the appropriate clothing for variable weather, sunscreen, and bug spray.


• A catered lunch will be provided.

• Cheesy au gratin Potatoes
• Roasted Vegetables
• Caprese Fruit Salad

SCHEDULE:

We use an air horn to indicate the end of a class.

We allow 15 minutes between sessions to give people time to walk from one class to the next.
