A one day event to introduce women to outdoor activities.
8:00 am until 5 pm with each participant engaged in 4 classes.
This event is open to women age 18 and above.
The activities are hands on and participants will produce an item, be introduced to a skill or get materials that they can take home from each class.

This is a rain or shine event. Please bring appropriate clothing, sunscreen, and bug spray.
A Texas style BBQ Lunch will be provided.

We had 70 participants, 21 instructors and 15 volunteers. The day started with a brief rain but weather improved as the day went on. Temperature was in the 70s and the bugs were not too bad. The park staff did a great job with the grounds. Everything was mowed, temporary bridges were placed across wet spots, and other wet areas were flagged to let people know to avoid them. The day started with 4 lines of check in for participants and one for instructors. Everything was easily completed during the 30 minute check in time. After check in coffee, iced tea, and donuts were available for all. A few minor adjustments had to be made to class locations but between maps, signs and volunteers giving directions everyone got to class on time. Many participants took time to enjoy the raffle and 50/50. Lunch was excellent. Ed's Smokin' BBQ served brisket, and pulled pork, beans, coleslaw, and pop or water. Tambara was selling homemade ice cream after lunch.
